Citizenship in the world merit badge?

Help on Citizenship in the World merit badge!?

  • I'm a boy scout in troop 557. I need really big help on requirements 3a, 3b, 5a, and 5c! Please! I need HELP!

  • Answer:

Well, to start off, you need to discuss some of these things with your merit badge counselor. But lets see if I can point you in a good direction or two: 3a & 3b - I would suggest you look at (and discuss) the recent developments in Korea - with the launching of its (failed) rocket - and the history involved with the leadership there. (Ask some ''old people'' - 40 years old or more - about North Korea's activities over the past 20 years or so.) 5c ?? Seriously? You can't find where the countries are on a map? Sigh.. truly our American educational system has a lot to answer for... and it appears they are hoping to get graded on a curve... Try using this to get a few ideas about different types of governments - and where they might be located. (Search the interesting ones on Google to find where they might be on a world map) https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/2128.html http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Citizenship_in_the_World

We don't have your book, dear. We don't know what the questions are. But I'll just bet that you can find the answers if you do some RESEARCH. No, dear, yahoooooooo is not research. And if you weren't an orphan you would ASK YOUR PARENTS for help.
