  • I am looking for a job and last wednesday I had a phone interview. I was pretty nervous and did not perform well. I feel that the hiring manager did not like. The phone interview should have taken 30 minutes, but just took 15 minutes. He asked They are moving quickly and if I would be available this week. I said yes. I asked him if we could schedule a face interview, and He said no and They will keep in touch.....I do not think I have chances.... Now I will study harder and prepare well for the next phone interview..... Do you think I have chances? DO YOU THINK THE HIRING MANAGER WILL CALL ME BACK WITH GOOD NEWS? WHY HE ASKED IF I AM AVAILABLE THIS WEEK? WHY MY PHONE INTERVIEW WAS SO SHORT? I SENT THEM AN E-MAIL FRIDAY AND NO RESPONSE........... I ACCESSED MY PROFILE ON THE COMPANY'S WEBSITE AND MY STATUS IS ''UNDER CONSIDERATION''

    Well, I worked as a hiring manager and now own my own business; if I tell someone I'll consider them or call them back, this usually means NO. Did you ensure proper English on your resume? Were you able to answer the questions the potential employer asked you, and in proper English? No offense, just going off of your non-complete sentences in your question. Also, always call after 3 days if you don't receive an email from the hiring manager.

If it's meant to be, it will all work out. I know how you're feeling. A similar thing happened to me just last week. You have to trust if this job doesn't happen, a better one is on its way. It's hard to trust it will all work out. But it always does. For some reason, the best thing always comes our way, even if that means some bumps along the way. Try not to obsess about it. It's just driving you more crazy. Enjoy some time doing other things and thinking about other things. Focusing on it won't do anything to help you or make the job happen.
