Need Help Making Friends?

My friends and I are making a movie this summer - I need some help . . . ?

• Well, my friends and I are making a movie over the summer. I came up with the idea and I'm writing the script. I need some ideas / scenes to occupy space in the middle of the story. The basic plot is these kids from Earth get moved to another planet where all the adults died from a virus that came from Earth (Earth people are immune to it). They have to get back to Earth, but the people who offer to help them find the portal will only help them if they'll take the bad guys on that planet back to Earth with them. There's plenty of characters, but we can't do any CGI, it all has to be real, and we can't get all the cool locations like waterfalls or whatever. So I need ideas for scenes in the middle, and I'm looking for ideas for action scenes that we can do without CGI or whatever. They're traveling downstream in canoes, camping on the banks and stuff. If that helps.
