How could you ask your best friend for a date?

How can I ask a friend (a girl) to hang out without making it seem like I'm asking her out on a date?

  • I just moved to another city (being in highschool sucks btw) and am trying to make friends. Thing is I'm bad at this, I've never even in my life seen a friend outside of school (so I guess they were more aquaintences or whatever). Anyways, I have a girlfriend, long distance relationship, but still a girlfriend. All the friends I've made, well, are girls, and there's this one in particular I've been talking to for a couple weeks I'm interested in getting to know better, cause she seems pretty cool. So... how the hell does one ask another of the opposite sex for their phone number, or to hang out, without making it seem like ur interested in them in a wanting to date them kind of way? I'm kind of at a loss lol

You could act like you haveto go but need to talk to her and be like can i text you or you could be just like you should text me so we can hangout (That's real smooooth lol) or you could be like in a conversation bring up something you were texting to someone and subtaly ask if she has a phone if yes then be like oh you should text me (also smooth)

Get some of your other friends together to go to a movie and go up to her and be like hey me and my friends are going to a movie do you want to come? and if she says sure then ask for her number and say its to text or call in case plans change. then when you go out with her and some friends bring up your girlfriend when you are talking, but not too much cause then it gets annoying
