Pages 2007 for mac page numbering?

Having trouble with MS Word 2011 for Mac concerning page numbering. Help?

  • Ok, so I have the first three pages numbered i, ii, and iii. What I want to do for the fourth page is have it start numbering from 1 and so on. So the first three pages are i, ii, iii, and the fourth page and subsequent pages would be 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. How do I go about doing that?

It should be pretty similar to Word for the PC so this is how it is done in Word 2007. Enter a Section Break, Next Page where you want to start the regular numbering. The first section that you have now isolated can have the Roman Numerals. Double click in the header or footer of the second section that you have just created. On the Design Tab, click on Link to Previous to de-select it. This will break the link from the previous section. On the Design Tab, click on Page Number. Choose where you want the page number. Click on Page Number again and click on Format Page Numbers. Choose the number style that you want and near the bottom of the dialogue box click on Start At and enter 1. Double click in the body of the document to start entering text.
