Hey, I just finished Hardware/Software Support this last fall. This is just the type of books you're looking for but it might not be what you want, however, I believe it is. The books cover XP and Vista (Vista and 7 are almost identical, when it really comes down to it.) I have a tremendous amount of hands on experience (was Chief Technician at a shop in Birmingham for several years and owned my own shop before that) , but I'm working on my degree. Ok here's the Software one: Name: "CompTIA A+ Guide to Software - Managing, Maintaining, and Troubleshooting" Author: Jean Andrews ISBN: 978-1-4354-8737-6 Around $50.00 at Half.com http://product.half.ebay.com/A-Guide-to-Software-Managing-Maintaining-and-Troubleshooting-by-Jean-Andrews-2009-Other-Mixed-media-product/77485570&cpid=1398488656 Here's the Hardware book: Name: "CompTIA A+ Guide to Hardware - Managing, Maintaining, and Troubleshooting" Author: Jean Andrews ISBN: 978-1-4354-8738-3 Also about $50.00 at Half.com http://product.half.ebay.com/A-Guide-to-Hardware-Managing-Maintaining-and-Troubleshooting-by-Jean-Andrews-2009-Other-Mixed-media-product/77439481&cpid=1398489395 Good luck with your work. Also, if my answer helps you, please vote me Best Answer. Yours, Hugh .
