What local grocery store has the best prices?

I don't understand fruit prices at the grocery store...Can someone explain?

  • Ok, pardon me if this makes me look really stupid but I just don't understand how to calculate the cost of fruit at the grocery store. I mean, I know how to do math, I just don't understand how they present it to you EX: Grapes at my store are selling for $1.29 lb/ 3.24kg ...I just don't understand. I don't know if they mean $1.29 per pound (which I doubt since they usually just say that), if a pound is divided by 3.24kg and then multiplied by $1.29. Yeah, maybe I'm making this more difficult then it needs to be but can someone just explain this to me lol Thanks in advance and please don't try to judge aha. I mean its not keeping me up at night but I just wanna understand this

  • Answer:

I'm hoping that is just an example and not actual numbers, The sign should say $1.29 per pound or $2.84 per kilogram. One kg=2.2 lb therefore 2.2x$1.29= $2.838. If that isn't correct then I don't know how they are figuring the price.
