How to become a pharmacy tech in Virginia?
-
Hello! I am very interested in becoming a pharmacy tech, but I'm not exactly sure where to start. Do I have to take courses? A test? What kind of training is required? Thanks!

Answer:
Virginia requires you to complete an approved training program OR obtain your PTCB national certification. See more details and links to the application at http://www.pharmacytechnicianhq.com/pharm-tech-schools-by-state/virginia/ So the easiest is to get a study guide for the PTCB exam and take the exam. However, a formal training program will be better for obtaining a job. If you do well in interviews or know someone who works in a pharmacy that can help you land a job, then do the PTCB and get going sooner. The above website has a free eBook with tips on becoming a tech and landing a job. Best of luck,
