BlackBerry Curve 9360, Sony Xperia S or iPhone 4? Which one should i get?
-
My current contract ends in October and i was looking round about Christmas for something that might interest me and i saw the BlackBerry Curve 9360. I used to have the 8520 and i loved it with the qwerty keyboard and apps, until the trackpad started to stick down, and the replacement phone with the trackpad was sharp on the edges so i got the htc wildfire. Although the 9360 is a newer model, it is slimmer and more professional looking and seen as i loved my previous BlackBerry, i thought this one may be for me. Then not so long ago I saw the Sony Xperia S advertising in the newspaper and i liked the look of the features. I am really into Video and Photography and it has a really good camera on it. But the problem is, it is really big. I like a small yet sophisticated device that fits nicely into my pocket. Then i recently thought about the iPhone 4. My mum currently has one and her contract runs out 4 months after mine so i thought about getting that after her. I have an iPod touch, but it is annoying when i want to use an app but it requires a 3G connection, and that is where the iPhone will come in handy. Yet it is on a network I don't really want it on and i don't want it unlocked because i am really funny about things like that. So do i go for the BlackBerry for the size, qwerty keyboard and apps but downsize the camera? The Sony Xperia S for the camera but is really big? Or the iPhone 4s so i can use apps that i have bought on my iPod with the 3G connection but get it on a network i don't really want it on?

Answer:
I would steer you away from the iphones the iphone 4 drops calls and is not recommended by Consumer Reports: http://www.pcworld.com/article/200924/consumer_reports_throws_iphone_4_under_the_bus.html With android, you get more free apps. For example angry birds is free with android whereas you have to buy it with apple, or use their "free" version which has a big ad blocking part of the screen getting in the way of gameplay. Furthermore, with iphone you do not get Adobe Flash which is required to view videos on many websites, it is a common complaint among iphone users. Plus you cannot expand memory with iphone if you run out of space but with android you just add a card up to 32gb and you're good to go. Android phones are usually superior in technical specs, faster and more customizable. It is the smarter choice, that is why it leads the global market in smartphones today even with apple selling a lot of their iphones cheap or free.
