Why am i getting an ArgumentOutOfRangeException?

Why am I suddenly getting extreme period blood clots?

  • I just turned fourteen not too long ago, and have been getting my period for about 2-3 years now. At the very beginning it was light and managable because I wasnt involved in sports. As I started becoming heavily involved in all types of sports, like they say, it became irregular and of course heavier as I grew up with my hormones and me changing. Noting that I'm not even grown up now, participating in many sports about 3 year round I've gotten used to heavy random periods. But not too long ago on the first day of the period I'm having right now, I, like usual had a heavy period. All was ok until recently (IN SCHOOL) I bled through my pants, which I have never done before. I changed and throught the day it felt awkward down there and something was happening every once in a while. It wasn't until I went to the bathroom I had huge blood clots soaking up my pad and even more coming out. I can't recall the day I first got this period but it is definitely the longest I've ever had. Today my mom asked if i was finally done and thinking I was I told her yes. I was wrong. She left for work not to long ago and I felt it come out. It is is one of the most freaky, awkward, uncomfortable feelings I have ever felt. A coupple minutes ago, just as I was getting up to get in the shower knowing it was a big clot, ANOTHER ONE CAME OUT and I just froze. It literally felt like sludge coming out down there. (not to be gross but I have to describe it) it actually went through my sweats and i just took everything off. When i got in the shower it happened again. I was petrified I thought I was like going to lose so much blood i would die. After that I knew I had to come type this up and I'm OK now just still shook up. Sorry for like the whole story there, but something is going on in my body that shouldn't be. Just some things i want to let you know beforehand: -My mom is a registered nurse and she has been having these HUGE clots lately too -Of course I'm not having a miscarriage because duhh I'm never been sexually active -I know my hormones are out of whack because I've been soo emotional lately you would think I have a personality disorder -I've done some research on this and I know that if the clots are frequent and bigger than the size of a quarter it might be severe -Since my moms a nurse i'll give it one more day and maybe she can take me to the doctor tomorrow -Im quite scared; PLEASE HELP Thank you and by the time you read this i hope im all better but please FEEL FREE to respond to this still and I'll comment back!

You are only fourteen and i may be wrong, but it definitely sounds like a uterine issue like fibroid or some other female reproductive problem. I would go to the gynecologist as soon as possible. But in the meantime here is some advice. 1.get organic blackstrap molasses--NOT REGULAR MOLASSES!! 2. get a good source of magnesium 3. buy bragg apple cider vinegar 4.stay away from meat and milk 5. find some way to relax like meditation and deep breathing take the 3-4 tablespoons of the molasses 3 times a day take 2-3 tablespoons of the apple cider vinegar in 8-10 oz of water 3 times a day take 300 mg of mag 3 times a day the apple cider and black strap molasses is good for the heavy bleeding and pain the blackstrap has magnesium and iron also take a good iron supplement but take care that you are not constipated. Eat spinach. the mag is good for relaxing the muscles of the uterus Look for the vinegar and black strap in the organic/natural section of your super market the reasoning behind meat and dairy is that the commercially sold products are full of synthetic hormones and will seriously mess with our female hormones. it may work within a few days or a few weeks or a month..it depends on the woman. Since your mom is a nurse she may not agree with these natural suggestions but i may help you while you are waiting to see the gynecologist.

Hello Vivian, here is an article I found on the internet in regards to reasons for having blood clots during the menstrual cycle. I hope this helps to answer a few of your questions. Take care. Causes of Blood Clots Hormonal Changes Hormones called estrogen and progesterone, are responsible for the production and shedding of the uterine lining. If this balance is disturbed, blood clots can be formed. The main reasons of hormonal changes and hormonal imbalance in young women are given below: Enlarged Uterus The uterus enlarges during pregnancy so that it becomes easy to accommodate the child. After pregnancy, the uterus shrinks back to the normal size. However, it may not happen in some cases. At such times, blood gets collected and forms a clot before it is released from the body, and that is when you see blood clots during menstrual cycle. Endometriosis Endometriosis is another reason that can cause hormonal changes. This is a medical condition which occurs due to the wrong growth of a tissue. This tissue is supposed to form on the lining of the uterus, but if it grows inside or any other place, it results in heavy bleeding and blood clots. Endometriosis should be treated by a physician only. Side Effects If you are undergoing some medical treatment, specially if the prescribed medicines are steroids, than you can experience blood clots during your period. Steroids also cause weight gain, which is another reason for these clots. These were the hormonal changes that are responsible for blood clot during period. Besides these, there are some other reasons which are given further. Fibroids Fibroids are tumors which are non-cancerous and grow in the womb. A woman having uterine fibroids can experience blood clots during menstruation. Heavy flow is also seen along with blood clots. Premenstrual syndrome can also be one of the reasons. Miscarriage Women who have had a miscarriage in the past, may pass blood clots or gray clumps of tissues from the vagina. The women with a history of miscarriage should immediately consult a doctor if they notice these symptoms, during the next pregnancy. Heavy Periods A heavy flow can also be one of the reasons for blood clots during periods. A woman's body has high anti-clotting ability, but during heavy periods, this ability is used up, and this results in clots.

I think you should be okay untill a doctor sees you if you feel it's that bad. Drink plenty of water and take iron supplements or spinach (anything iron rich) with plenty of orange juice. You need the orange juice to allow your body to absorb the iron.

No, you're not going to bleed to death - the blood is old blood from your womb lining not your blood vessels. It's starting to dry while on the way out of your body which is why it comes out in lumps. What has changed recently in the lifestyle you and your mother lead ? Might be enviromental factors here since your mums having similar problems.
