Where do you put videos on your PSP?

How To Put Videos On My PSP?

  • I have a psp 1000 (I know its old) and it has the latest update but every time i try to put videos on it they dont show up or some times they're corrupted or unsupported. what file do you put the videos in? what should the video format be? imy videos are an mp4 format and i've tryed making a video file and it shows up as unsupported. I've tryed putting it in the 100ANV01 file and i've tryed putting it in the 100MNV01 file and it doesnt even show up on my psp at all. So how or where do i put the videos? Please help i've been trying to figure it out for years and i've looked up online and on youtube and nothing works.

  • Answer:

First you should make sure the video is MPEG-4 .mp4 video. If not, you can convert the video to MPEG-4 .mp4 video using the following PSP video converter: http://www.soft4portable.com/psp/psp-video-converter.html I'm assuming you already have that and I will explain how to add that video to your psp. Connect your PSP with PC, and copy the video files into "H:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01" (where "H" is the drive letter of your PSP). Re-name your files in PSP. You must re-name them to "M4Vxxxxx.MP4". There would be five random numbers followed "M4V" and the two letters should be capital. The numbers must be same for two files. This is quite important, or your file can not be played on PSP. Of course, you can also transfer the video using Media Go.
