What's better: Android OS or Blackberry OS?

Android vs BlackBerry?

  • I had a BlackBerry Pearl when I was with Verizon on my (then) husband's acct. Once I got home and settled after the divorce, I got an android, and my Mezmerise has been acting out. A few months back I purchased a BlackBerry Bold and I wasn't impressed. There were times that it would freeze up and / or act out. But currently, my Mez is acting out, sending random characters in messages I've sent out IF it sends out the message/s at all. Along with a few other things it's been doing. I have another android that I can switch to until the Mez is working again, but until then, I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and get a BlackBerry Flip. I NEVER had an issue with my Pearl (unless I forgot to do a battery pull on it after a week) and I had that phone for almost 2 years. I guess, I'm wondering if it would be smart for me to go back to a BlackBerry .... considering there really hasn't been MUCH of a change in the OS since 2009 .... and considering that the upgrade to the Pearl is the Flip and I've REALLY wanted to have the Flip for a while now .... should I just find a Flip and switch? Or would that be a silly move? Blackberry IS a solid OS. And considering there hasn't been much of any changes in 3 years .... I just wonder if that would be stupid. I DO miss the flip part of the phone. And the phone WOULD be slightly smaller. Or, perhaps, should I look into getting the newer BlackBerry?

As I read, you do not have a very good luck with mobiles do you? In my experience and opinion, you REALLY SHOULD NOT spend any more for a newer BlackBerry.. RIM just makes damn expensive phones that are overrated and do not account for much at all. For instance, Nokia E6 bests BlackBerry Bold 9900 (Which is their most-"ELITE" handset, yes?) in many ways, and costs less at the same time. But if you have a good record of Bb, just get the old one. Spending too much money again would be a wrong idea anyways..

The Blackberry OS has been very stale. And entertainment on a BB is leagues behind Android and even Windows Phone. The problem on your Mes might be a problem on your particular handset alone as the Mes isn't known to be suffering from such problems. Android is much more versatile and configurable and is good value for money. So, I'd recommend either getting and Android or even a WP. BB is also expensive and has not improvised since a long time. All their exclusive stuff can now be found other OSs too. Nokia always used to make good phones but were unjustly rated below BB.
