Can you get the Hydra-Matic Six-Speed Automatic Transmission on the 5.3L?

Can you still get transmission conversion kits for 47 and earlier chevy trucks ?

I have a 4 speed 1947 chevy pickup I would like to convert to a modern speed transmission. This is not a typical transmission as it is actualy the one it came with. This meens that the 48-55 transmission is different and only in one spot. My transmission has the reverse between 1st and 2nd gear. I have to filp a switch when in neutral and bring the shifter between the gears and on over. I don't even know if there was a kit out for this transmission but I do know there was one for 48 and all the 4 speeds with granny low after that. Is there a kit out for the early transmission like mine that keeps reverse in the same spot or will I have to just get a latter transmission to get the modern speed out of my truck. If there is a kit for my transmission where can I get it.
