Do moths sleep during the day?

Attack of the moths, what causes them to breed so much?

• a few days ago after it rained we suddenly get a ton of moths, i noticed them at work first dead moths all over the floor and in the carpets flying everywhere when i take them down we hang out every night a lot. filled ,impressively , a dustpan with close to half of its size. i went home later that day to find atleast 6 moths and not the tiny ones either in our homes dancing around everywhere with lights. i find it odd that they are all really big i have nightmares that one is going to kamikaze in my face when i sleep. they do that. i went to pick up my mom and there was a huge moth inside my car. we cant escape them. why are there so much moths? its not like we leave the door open for them to get in is it moth season?

  Well, insect populations can get huge some years and remain small others. It's normal because of differing factors in their resources and environment. Now, if you have little moths in your house (mind you and insect that can fly is an adult and doesn't get any bigger. That's it's final stage) They may be stored product pests, and you probably want to get them exterminated. Moths aren't going to dive bomb your face. It isn't advantageous for them to do so. Even if they did it's not going to hurt you.
