Good ways to travel around the world for free (or almost)?

  • I'm 21, female and live in a low-income neighborhood. I've always dreamed of getting out of this environment and traveling a few places around the world (South America, Japan and Australia in particular). Problem is, travel for the most part requires alot of money and isn't cheap, and I just don't have the finances for it at the moment. I've been job searching for about 6 months now without any luck, so I have no source of income, no way of applying this dream to reality. Are there ways for someone in my position to travel the world for free (or almost)? I just want to get out of this place, it's very boring and I feel trapped here.

Get a job on a cruise ship. It will solve two of your problems. You will have a paying job with little to no living expenses while at sea and you will get to see lots of different countries and famous places all over the world. How much time you will get to go ashore and see these things depends on what job you do on board but you will get some time. There are a lot of different jobs available on cruise ships. PS. Be careful when googling cruise ship jobs. There are thousands of scam companies online selling books on how to get a cruise ship job and offering to process your application for the cruise lines for a fee.
