Does it matter if I have my coloured contact lenses on in my passport photo?
-
It doesn't say anything about having contact lenses in - just glasses but I usually wear my contact lenses but not always.. Does it matter if I am wearing them in my passport photo? I don't want to have it re-sent to me and for me to do the application form again - I have a holiday in under 2months.

Answer:
Best off just taking them out for your passport photo, to be on the safe side

If you have contacts in that have color they can make you take them out at the passport check points... If yor eyes are not the color stated in your information AND in your picture the passport then is void and you can be detained for fraud.. Taking the picture with colored contacts is considerd fraudulent/lies on a government document

Passport photos have to be totally natural with nothing like glasses or coloured contacts. However if you don't want to take them out you do have an option. You can choose to have a black and white photo taken instead of colour, it is on the instructions and acceptable. In black and white it won't show. If you prefer color, take out your contacts.

why dnt you people follow the simple instructions set out on government recommending forms for the application for passport photographs,i am sure that they are extremely sorry to inconvenience you,by making a further application from you this time with your true eye colour, instead of a tinted colour eye that really is not your natural colour,in future you will go through an automatic machine that examines your eyes, you would be stopped because it does not register from your original application, and dnt be surprised if they put you in a special room while they find out who you really are.just stick to the official guidelines in future and you wont have a problem ok.

Best to remove the contacts and go "real". PS: some airports (especially in England) already use eye recognition machines for frequent travellers: better than passports and eventually things may be like that for all...

Of course it matters. The colour of your eyes is always checked. UK
