Non profit meet up group?

What is the law regarding volunteering for an online group that isnt a non profit?

I belong to a online group its called a league. They recently asked me if I'd like to become a member of their staff. This is strictly volunteer based and no pay is received for any of your time or talents in doing so. It is NOT a non profit or charity but it is volunteer work as your providing a service but dont get paid for it. Recently they told me that I am not allowed to perform similar duties or even participate for any other league. I feel like it is first an invasion of my privacy for them to look at my personal account and see if I have participated in another league and discrimination of my time and talents to tell me I cant share those talents with another similar group. What is the law regarding volunteering and this issue? What laws and options do I have in this situation?
Answer:

I have no idea what a "league" is but the options you have are to participate under their rules, or choose not to. Why would this be a matter of law?
