CPS investigation show up on a job FBI background check?
-
1) I was at my girlfriends feeding my few month old daughter while standing up. My girlfriend got mad about something very nonsensical like Facebook drama. I told her to just let me feed my daughter and I was going home anyways. She kept on and on, finally she just got pissed and tried to physically take our daughter from my arms while I was standing up. I, with with hand, pushed her away in fear of dropping our little girl. After I pushed her away I put my girl on the bed so to take her away from the situation. I went home and went to bed. Apparently the cops were called and they showed up at my house which I didn't even come to find out til the next day because my roommate told me, he didn't know I was home sleeping, I called cops next day and they said it was fine, no reason for further action. 2) So CPS was notified for that. They have been for months now. Girlfriend is in their corrupt services and plans like she's on probation. I have completely ignored them and not submitting myself to their unconstitutional ways, especially knowing I didn't do anything wrong. 3) So when it came to neglect, their findings were "reason to believe" and it's still going on. There is no court hearing or anything, just them trying to get both of us in "services" to jump through there hoop. I just plan on doing nothing and not talking to them until it is closed. There were never any cops, judges, charges or anything involved and the whole thing is arbitrary. 4) So my concern is I am trying to get my Insurance Adjusters License and in order to get it I have to get a FBI background check, will this show up?

Answer:
The only reason CPS found as such is your refusal to cooperate. Until you tell them that there's nothing wrong, they have no evidence to the contrary. And at least one other person's word that it's true. If the cops arrest you for murder, are you gonna provide your alibi, or just sit in jail until you go to trial? Realize it is in your best interest to act based on logic rather than emotion. Yes, it really blows that some ex can use the system to make some BS trouble for you. You could be angry and stubborn enough about that to sabotage your own interests, which will certainly lead to more consequences. And she will win twice. Or, you can be calm and deal with it head on, for the best (and quickest) possible outcome. Certainly you have a duty to do so, in the best interest of your child. And, yes, since the case is open, it will show up in an FBI background check.* Whether or not that will disqualify you from a license is a matter of state administrative regulations. *If the case is found "unsubstantiated," it really does fall off your record, BTW.
