How can I redecorate without spending much money?

Redecorate a teenage girls room without spending a lot or any money?

• I moved into a new house with my family when I was twelve, so of course I painted it a bright purple, and have books and little trinkets everywhere. I'm sixteen now so it's pretty childish for my taste. I have a small wood desk, and a bookshelf of the same wall, which takes up a fair amount of space, I have a dresser, and a large bed with a nightstand, my room has one large window and one tiny little square window, I have a fairly large walk-in closet, so there's storage in there, I cant repaint for a while, so for now what can I do to change it from a kids room, to a teenagers room? I just started a part time job, so I don't have loads of money to spend, so any free ideas would be super.
