Can I buy alcohol with expired drivers license and temporary drivers license with photo ID?

I live in Michigan and I have bought it with that before. As long as you have the pic ID and your new license.....attached to it (the paper one) it will be ok. I really think you should be ok...you have the pic....and the new one so it should be ok.

In Ohio you can't-I could tell you for a fact. Due to the increasing amount of identity theft, fake ID'S etc., we were told that if it's expired don't sell it to them especially if they don't look old enough. If you look old enough they may or may not sell it to you pending management approval.

Probably not. All places, gas stations, especially casinos (they are super strict and actually scan your ID), will not accept an expired license, and most will not accept a paper license. This may have worked 15+years ago when fake ID's were so easy to make through a computer, but not during today's time. I find that odd, because, it's not your birthday expires just because your license does. Hell, when I was 21, I had an official ID and I was refused alcohol because I looked so young that they thought my ID was fake! That's odd how your state does its licenses, but here in Missouri, we don't get paper IDs. When our licenses expire, we go to the license bureau and get a new official one on the spot. I assume you're 21 - trust me, you have your entire 20s for alcohol, you can surely wait just a couple of weeks.

The liscence expires, but your identity doesn't. I can't see it bring a problem just so long as the pic is obvious its you.
