How do you become a Magazine editor or writer?

Is it possible for me to become a fashion magazine editor?

  • I am obese (though trying to get healthy) and would like to become a fashion magazine editor. I want to create a magazine that centers around fashion and makeup, with helpful hints toward self confidence and big girl tips. Do you think that I can make it happen or will the fashion industry spit me out?

    I don't think your size has as much to do with anything as much as the connections you know. I have a Bacholor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and a MA in Journalism and I cannot get those kind of jobs. Getting killer jobs like the one you have described basically have to be given to you on the basis of nepotism. Sad but true. Unfortunately this is something you must learn the hard way and is not anything they tell you while you are signing student loan documents. But never give up your dream! Anything is possible, difficult, but possible. Good Luck!

Dear Angelina, if you can dream it; you can achieve it. I am currently putting the mid-final touches to my long awaited teen magazine. I had always have it at the back of my mind that I want to give teens an alternative magazine different from what we have available today. I want to create a movement with a magazine that inspire teens to dream, think outside the box, strive to achieve their dreams and here I am today.
