Which journalism major should I do?

Could a double major in Human Resource Management supplement my Journalism major?

• I'm currently majoring in Journalism & Media Studies... And trying to figure out what to major along with it. I'm very well aware of the fact that journalism is not an easy field to find a job in and want to boost my education/experience/resume with a good major/minor that can not only help me with grad school but also help me in getting a job... What I'm debating is whether or not to major in Journalism and Poli Sci with a minor in something like HRM or Entrepreneurship or major in Journalism and something like HRM with a minor in Poli Sci... Is HRM something that could supplement a Journalism major? Thoughts?

  HRM is probably one of the more reliable majors you can take. But if a job is what you're looking for, don't minor it with entrepreneurship, it defeats the purpose of being an entrepreneur. It would however be an absolutely perfect pair if you intend to run your own business. Poli Sci majors are typically the ones who enter law school, because like the above majors, it supplements the study of law. It's not particularly useful for finding a job because it's a theory-based degree. If you're considering political science, try Public Administration instead. It's a similar program but much more practical in the real-world and would be better if you're looking to work for the government. If you decide to stick with journalism, political science can be a good option because you'll become more knowledgeable with the material you write about. But again, not a safe major/minor.
