• My school changed the GPA system recently and both systems are retarded. I used to have a 3.9 GPA out of God knows what but, I know they changed it because you could have above a 4.0 with no honors or AP classes. Now I have a 3.3 but the classes I take limit the maximum GPA students can get. Regular Class = 4.3 limit Honors Class = 4.7 limit Ap Class = 5.3 Limit the valedictorian has something like a 4.3 GPA many people have straight A+'s but dont go much higher than a 4.0 I did bad in my regular classes so my GPA is lowered by a lot for example I got a C in Ceramics. Stupid teachers give me stupid grades, ALL THE TIME. People who do good in my school take the easy way out, take a class where the teachers LITERALLY give you an A+ for showing up, like Russian. Or they get lucky and get a teacher like that for English or something. How do colleges look at Your GPA? What would my GPA be if My grades look like this: English 3: A A A+ US History 2: A+ A+ A+ Precalc Honors: A- B+ A+ Anatomy: A- A- A AP Bio: A- A B Italian 3: B C A- Gym: A+ A+ A+ C=73-76 B=83-86 B+=87-89 A-=90-92 A=93-96 A+=97-100 Teachers BS the grades all the time.   Colleges do not look at weighted GPAs because there are so many different ways of computing a weighted GPA (as your experience demonstrates). Only unweighted GPAs count for college admission.
