What is the minimum credit score for an apartment rental?

What should my credit fico score be in order to rent a apartment in the Las Vegas Nevada area be?

  • I am moving to the Las Vegas area at the end of the year and I was wondering what my credit score should be to get an apartment, also going there with no job lined up , how much money should I have ready for this apartment, like first month rent or first month secvurity and so on.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !!!!!

Forget about the score. A landlord just does not want to see bad credit such as liens, judgements, high debt, reposessions, other evictions, etc. If you have none of these, then you'll be ok, score wise. But... you will have no job. It is going to be almost impossible to find a place to live. A landlord want's to make sure you will be able to pay rent. You may have to offer 6 months to 1 year rent upfront.
