How do you go about filling a civil suit?

What can happen to me if I go through with this prank at college?

  • My roommate has dared me and bet me $100 that I don't have the guts to dress up in a suit on the first day of class and pretend I'm the nephew of the school president. The plan is for me to walk in and request to speak to the professor in private, then tell him/her that I'm filling in as the interim president while my uncle is out of the country, and one of my responsibilites is to cut payroll. So when we step outside the classroom I just tell the professor that despite doing a great job there simply isn't enough money in the budget to retain his services and then I say, in an over the top and obnoxious manner (similar to Donald Trump on the Apprentice) "You're Fired!!" Then once I get the reaction I will wait about 30 seconds and tell him/her "No no no, I'm just kidding. I'm actually a student in this class. It was all a big joke. I hope you're not upset and can laugh with me" Will I get in trouble for this? Do you think he/she will find the humor in the situation or at least understand that this is a big prank that will earn me some money that will go to paying for my tuition.

Perhaps you should ask yourself what you may gain from this even if it's successful! ⫸

I don't think anything good would happen out of doing that. Professor would already have an oppinion of you, other students would probably think your a jack *** (I would). And the prank is not even funny.. At all. College isn't for ******* around with your professors.

It's not gonna work. A child in a suit will still look like a child in a suit.

College is where high school children present themselves as mature adults ("fake it 'till you make it"), where professors and instructors will attempt to treat you as such. It's a great and fun opportunity to step up to the plate. Don't muck it up by dragging immature, childish pranks of the past along with you.

First of all, it's childish and immature and it's not even funny. Secondly, you could face some type of disciplinary action but it might be they just give you a warning. They're in no way going to reward you for it even if they do nothing at all to you. Plus I'm sure the professor would already know the procedure for which the head of the college will speak with him including anyone who might speak on his behalf so he'll probably laugh at you rather than with you.

doubtful that you would pull that off--that professor will think you are a lunatic for the rest of the semester--IF he allows you to stay in his class--you won't do well in it--you can be sure of that!

you might not get in trouble but its not nice to tell someone theyre fired when theyre not
