What gloves for commercial dishwashing would you recommend?

Dishwashing Job - What to expect?

• Looking at getting a part time job doing dishwashing at a local restaurant, what tasks apart from dishwashing can I be expected to do? Do you recommend wearing rubber gloves and or an apron etc?

• Answer:

  You'll be expected to clean and mop the front of the house, bathrooms, restock toilet papers and paper towels, clean up any spills in the kitchen and basically sweep and mop the kitchen before service and when the kitchen closes. Sometimes, the chef might assign you some prep work. The restaurant should provide you with a uniform and gloves.
