Help with TV show, please help?

Please help me track down a mid/late 1990's TV Show?

• I remember watching a drama/sci-fi type TV show back in either 1997 or 1998. It was either US or Canadian. I don't recall who any of the actors were. The storyline was set in space (it may also have been set in the future but not sure) and revolved around a group of space travellers, all wearing marine type spacesuits, having different adventures each week and one of the main characters was a guy in his 30's, travelling round in a spaceship looking for his lost love. The woman had somehow disappeared into space. It was shown when TV shows like The X-Files and Dark Skies were big and it had the same kind of tense, dark atmosphere as them. I don't think it had a second series, so was probably a one hit wonder. Not much to go on, but if anyone can help with this, would be grateful. It's bugged me for years and none of my friends can remember it at all.
