How do I update my PS3?

I am from india and i am planning to buy a ps3 320 gb with move...I want to know how i can update my console?

• i dont have wifi or router at home nor i have a modem...can i download the update in pen drive and plug the update in ps 3 and do the update??Please guide me with all the ways to update.Thanks...:):)

  Yes, you can update via a usb drive. Just go the playstation website-->support-->PS3--->System software update. Save the update to the usb drive. Once that is done downloading transfer the usb drive over to the ps3. Go to settings--> systems update(should be at the top). Once your in there, you should find the option to update via the usb drive. Other ways to update are via internet(which you said you can't do) and by inserting a new game into the system. New games usually have the updates on disc.
