Is there a way to transfer a ps3 game to pc?
-
I don't didn't have a ps3 when the game skyrim came out. My friend got the game and he had a ps3 so he let me start a character on his ps3 and said he can train my character for me to take it over whenever I got my own game (and system). Long story short, he powered up my character a lil so I have some good stats and cool weapons (basically gaining easy skills by doing repetitive tasks one skill that makes getting other skills up easier ie smithing). So I saved up some money and I and I got skyrim for the windows 7 pc. I honestly didn't want to start over in the game so I searched online for a way to transfer the data over from ps3 to pc. I have found a plethora of answers and allot of trolling. Some people say there is a way, some people say there isn't a way. Some people are being smart asses and just saying "Put your flash drive in and "save" you game...duh" when anyone who has had a ps3 knows that it is not that simple. Sometimes I get sent to forums that ask the question but never friggin answer it, its more like a conversation about it. Or the question may be answered but I have to look 40 pages in the forum comments and trolls to find it. Or Sometimes I these really over complicated instructions and IDK what to do or I have to do allot of downloads (which usually come with extra sh*t [viruses/ads] that no one wants) or I have to "pay" for someone to help me (which I think is asinine) so I want an all determining answer. Can it be done and if so how can I do it step by step please and thank you.

Answer:
Sorry, the save game files/format is totally different from PS3 and PC. You wont be able to transfer it. Now if you had another PS3 then you can copy the save game from yoru friends ps3 onto yours. Hate to tell you the bad news. Edit: Dominik - You have to have the True Blue jailbreak dongle which was said they are not paying anything to do this.

As far as I know there is not a way to play a saved data file on the PC from a file on the PS3. If you want to try anyways, use a memory card or USB to copy the data from your ps3 and put in on your pc. It shouldn't take to long I would say its worth a shot even though I think it is still very highly unlikely it will work.

It can be done. But u are going to have to deal with this: "Or Sometimes I these really over complicated instructions and IDK what to do..." The process is fairly complicated. Probably your best bet would be to note all the skill levels, perks, levels, armours, weapons, etc that your saved character has. Then start a new character on the PC and add those things via the command console. If u don't want to go that route, then most likely u will find someone on one of the sites that deals with jailbreaking PS3 consoles who will show u how, or point u to a tutorial.
