Where can I find more Gmail themes?

How do i find IP address of a gmail sender?

  • So I got an email from a gmail sender on my gmail account. I want to find out his ip address but i cant because gmail blocked the ip address of gmail email accounts. I clicked on the arrow thing and then "show original" and this is what it says Received: by 10.220.228.196 with SMTP id jf4csp18398vcb; Wed, 25 Apr 2012 15:52:28 -0700 (PDT) Return-Path: <**********@gmail.com> Received-SPF: pass (google.com: domain of********@gmail.com designates 10.68.221.168 as permitted sender) client-ip=10.68.221.168; Authentication-Results: mr.google.com; spf=pass (google.com: domain of ********@gmail.com designates 10.68.221.168 as permitted sender) smtp.mail=**********@gmail.com; dkim=pass header.i=*********@gmail.com Received: from mr.google.com ([10.68.221.168]) it just says the google places ip and not sender. Is there any way of finding the real ip of the sender? thanks, kyle

  • Answer:

Here is the step Open the unwanted email. Click on the down arrow just to the right of the "Reply" link in the upper right corner of the email. This will show you some drop-down options. Click on "Show Original" from the list. This will open a new window with technical details about the email. Find the last entry reading "Received: from" by holding down the CTRL+F keys and typing in "Received." Scroll through the "received" entries until you come to the last one on the page. This one shows the computer name and IP address of the individual who sent the email.
