What sre some legit casting agencies in or very near berks county pennsylvania?

  • Well, I've heard extras in movies make a lot of money, but I suppose any money would be good right now since I can't find a job. But I can't find a place that's not a scam, and I can't find one close by enough for an affordable commute. I also want to see what I can do in the acting profession. So, what are the agencies in or near berks county that aren't a complete scam?

    Keep an eye on your newspaper classifieds, under employment. I have seen ads from movie companies when they need extras. Know that you may only work for 1 or 2 days. Try to find a real job in the meantime.

Extras do not make a lot of money. If you are non-union you are paid $62/day and that could be for 10 hours of work. You can find out about productions on the PA film commission website http://filminpa.com/resources/cast-and-crew/ Unless there are a lot of movies being filmed in your area, which there aren't, you won't get many jobs. You can only get extra work if they are filming near you AND require extras who are in your age group, gender, your race, your body type, your height, etc. If they are filming a scene that requires African American males age 16-21, height 5'10" or taller and you are a white female, you won't get cast
