How to improve SAT score?

The SAT puts a lot more emphasis on the reading and writing than the ACT. Have you thought about taking the ACT? I prefer the ACT and think it's a lot easier to understand. You said you've already signed up for the SAT, so to prepare I would suggest you take some practice tests. For reading, just make sure you're concentrating on all of the material you're reading. Don't let your mind wander, and look for the general information in the passage, and try to pick up on some specific details because they will ask about the general idea of the passage as well as some specific details. Also make sure you're on pace to finish in time. If you don't know an answer to a question, don't spend forever on it. Omit it, and move on and come back if you have time. I know coming back to reading questions is hard because there are a bunch of different passages, but if you have time to go back, I would do that. Good luck!
