What is the best cruise line?

What cruise-line is best for a family?

  • Please read this too. My husband and I live in ND and we are going to a family reunion in Sept at Disney World, both our first times there. Afterwords we want to go on a 5 night cruise, not a Disney Cruise. We do not was to overdue the Disney. We also have a 2 yr old son. We went on a cruise last yr in Europe with Royal Carribean. (we're in the military) and now we are in ND and got lucky this past winter with a mild one. Do not expct it to be mild this yr though. We want a nice relaxing cruise before we come home to the -30 degree weather. :) I heard Carnival is just a party ship w/ lots of drinking.. is this true? Royal is awesome but we are open to anything. Give honest opinions about cruise-lines you've been on please! :D Thanks a Bunch!!

My absolute favorite is Disney Cruise Line. I've been on 4 so far. They totally cater to everyone in the family. I also love their adult only activities and areas. The shows are Broadway Style productions and are great. The cabins are large compared to other cruise lines. The 2 new ships(Dream & Fantasy) have tons of new amenities. The older ships are great also. My next option would be Royal Caribbean(Oasis or Allure of the seas) are the best. Any Royal Caribbean ship or Norwegian ship will be good for a family cruise. Norwegian Epic is great for kids, especially a 2 year old who likes Nickolodeon!

I have actually been on a Carnival Cruise and would say that it was far from a party ship. I found the cruise to be very relaxing and there was always service at your fingertips. On the carnival cruises there are always places for your kids to stay for the day especially when you have a two year old. Carnival also is rated top five for staff friendliness, they do there very best! If I had the opportunity to go on a cruise again I would for sure go on a Carnival again. Good luck with picking a cruise !!

Disney cruise line is the top of the line for family cruising. They are the only cruise company that has fireworks at sea and a water coaster at sea. I have been on four and could keep going. There two new ships fantasy and Dream are spectacular. The magic and wonder are there older ships but are awesome to. They also have all the Disney Characters on bored. DON'T do Carnival. I went on there once and it was awful. Not nice workers, kind of moody. Not good shows. Not a family cruise. If you want a cheap cruise go with Carnival but you pay for what you get. Last year I went on the Norwegian Epic and is was awesome. This ship has 3 huge water slides. Tons of stuff for the kids. They have Nickelodeon on the ship which makes it even better. Very fun. third biggest ship in the world. I loved this ship could keep going on and on.

Royal Caribbean.

Princess

Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and Carnival are excellent cruises, both for families, couples, party people etc. Princess is also a good line, but a little bit pricier. whatever cruise line you choose you will have an excellent time!

Then Royal Caribbean is best, I personally think so. Disney IS expensive, and Carnival has lots of partiers and rude passengers. I just did a Carnival cruise about 2 months ago and will never sail with them again. Lots of drunks and people "reserving" all of the deck chairs on the lido deck, yet not even using them. Guess they didn't read the signs that say not to reserve chairs, and the staff did nothing about it. It was basically a horrible cruise. I guess its partially my fault for going at the beginning of spring break, but we thought we were going early enough to miss it. We were wrong. You might want to try Princess also. They don't get the "party" crowd and their prices can be comparable to RC. Not sure how their kids programs are though. Just remember, Sept is peak hurricane season so you could have a rough time at sea.

My wife and I just got back from a 5 days Carnival Cruise on the Triumph and we had a blast. There were plenty of young couples with children. The Triumph will suit whatever you are into. You wanna party and dance, there's a place(s) to do that. You wanna chill with the fam and friends.. You can do that too. I recommend getting a balcony room and you can get room service if you feel like relaxing. Check out the link below for my youtube videos i took while we were on the cruise. We went out of Galveston it sailed to Progresso and Cozumel. Weather was amazing. Have fun :-) http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD95BA5BD8463A016
