How to reduce redness of a sunburn faster?

How to reduce sunburn redness?

  • I was severely sunburned about 3 weeks ago. The pain is gone and the skin has been healed for a while. No more peeling or blisters. My legs, back, and stomach have turned tan but my chest and shoulders will not fade. They're still bright red and I'm getting sick of everyone pointing it out and making fun of it:( And I have prom in a few weeks. I know time is the only thing for it to completely fade and heal, but is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Like a lotion to reduce redness or something? I don't need anything for pain, swelling, or peeling. I need something to fade the redness and thats it. Thanks :)

Hi, Sunburn makes the skin red and tanned. You can use Noxzema cream on the affected area as it helps to reduce redness from the skin. You can also try some natural remedies that will help to reduce redness from the skin. Apply a cold wet teabag to the affected area; put some warm water in a small bowl and put a teabag in it, then shake the teabag off and dab on. The moisture slowly evaporates off the skin cooling it, and tea soothes the skin helps bring out the tan from the skin. Try aloe vera gel to soothe a sunburn.
