When does school start in florida?

Can you start Florida Virtual School in the end of the year?

• I've heard that you can pick when you want to start school, my mom is moving to florida and I do not want to start a new school so late and I do not want to go to the High school (I used to live there and school sucked.) also is it easy or hard if you are committed? Any suggestions? And also i am in honors in school right now and not doing do hot. Should I do honors in FVS.?

  You can start FLVS and go as fast or slow as you want. The only tricky thing is, you have to want it. I started in the summer and ended up getting dropped from my classes because I wasnt doing anything. If you really think you can avoid hanging out with friends and going out every day and do your work during the summer, I say start in the summer. If you don't think you can, wait. If you're disciplined, it shouldn't be a problem. The only difference between regular and honors is extra assignments. The course itself is the same and they have maybe up to 10 honors lessons/assignments. They're really not that challenging. And you can always drop out of honors. But you cant switch into honors. So I say try it, and if it's too hard, you can switch to regular. Good luck!
