How can I to start my career as an actress?

Is 23 too old to start an acting career for a female actress?

  • I am 22 now I will be graduating college in a year with a degree in something else and I want to start working on an acting career. Is 23 too old of an age to start gaining experience as an actor?

  • Answer:

No, it's not too late, but you'll still need a couple of years of classes and a lot of experience, starting off in very minor roles and working up to leading ones in community theatre. There's a lot to learn - far more than you imagine. Many kids spend years just learning the basics, and then a full-time 3 or 4 year degree-level course at drama school or university. Good luck!

It's never too old to act or to learn how. Work in community theater...get some acting gigs there. Take acting classes. Get an agent (most jobs will not see you without an agent).

I don't think so, and to be honest, I think around age 18-25 or so is the age most people actually get their "big break" and become actors/actresses.

Nope, not too old at all. Do community theatre and student films to build up experience and CV and just go for it :)
