How often should I have to clean my shower drain?

How to install a shower drain?

• I'm looking to rough in a corner shower drain but the shower will be all tile. I won't be using a shower pan where the drain is already located. My question is when I rough in the drain do I make it so that it's flush with the tile? Also do I use a conventional shower drain or am I better off using a floor drain? Thx in advance.

  i just did a shower a few months back. the answer is you want your drain to be about a 1/16 of an inch below the surface of the tile But you will find that the drains are adjustable so once you put your first layer down (aka before the shower pan) you can adjust it to meet 1/16 below the tile, there is alot that goes into a good shower, i think you have a bit more research to do before you rmake one. look up the following hardpack, shower pan, shower slope angle
