How to retrieve my mail and contact list lost after changing password?

  • Changed password on being hacked. I could not access my account. Told my password was invalid on March 26th. After that received call from daughter and former employer that they received spam mail on my name asking for money. I tried to open my account and was again told password invalid. I changed my password, the account opened but the old mails, folders, contact list in mail ID were not there. Checked yahoo messenger only some contact names were there. Still receiving the bounced spam mail can it be blocked. I have important work related files and addresses in my account. I request yahoo to retrieve my mails,etc. I had this account from about 2000 had lot of photographs, work related files, etc. I could not answer the secret questions even though I gave the correct answer I was told wrong answer so I changed my password again. Please help. I want my missing mail, contact list, address book,folders, etc from my old account prior to 26-04-2012. Please HELP. I tried to call Customer care but could not contact them. Helpless

    Similar happened to me and Im in the UK had to call the USA yahoo the uk guys never answered Basically everything deleted from yahoo gets queue and can take up to 90 days to be completely gone, but you need to act fast as you can --- When I got in touch with them, I had to send proof of address, photo ID and national insurance number to the, - sorry I dont have the department name or addy to hand now! I was able to retrieve all my deleted messages That really is all you can do -- I got hold of usa yahoo around 10 at night I saw the form above from someone, the thing is they take days to answer then usually the person on the other end sends u automated messages, its slow and NOT good service same as all services and yahoo - but u might get lucky, u just might get stressed out to fookery in the process

On your contacts.. Click the Contacts link At the top of that list, there is a button that says something like View all contacts A dropdown menu is on that.. Click View Deleted contacts Hopefully, they will all still be there.
