The lightening their (first book in percy Jackson series) by rick Riordan Percy Jackson has never lived a charmed life. He has never attended the same school for more than one school year (he keeps getting expelled) Percy's mathe teacher, Ms. Dodds, turns into a Deamon and Tries to kill Percy on a field trip. Percy starts to realize that he isn't normal and that having ADHD and dyslexia are not the worst of his problems. His best friend Grover and his Latin Teacher, Mr. Brunner, seem to know more about Percy than he does about himself. Percy and his mom, Sally, go on vacations and then have to leave their beach cabin because the Minotaur is chasing them. When Percy wakes up, he finds himself in a strange place called camp half blood. Percy learns that he is half-god. He is a half blood or a demigod. He is the son of Posiden and Zues accuses Percy and his father of stealing his lightening bolt. Percy travels cross country, and reaches the underworld. Many people suspected that Hades had stolen the bolt.... I would continue, but I don't want to be a spoiler. Hope u like It!!! :)

So you've read TWLIGHT. The ugly DEAD vampire. And you've read the hunger games, where there was like what? Around 30 personal deaths and officers shooting down rebels. But you also state 'no books about death' okay. Teen drama? Well. Heres a book "thirteen reasons why." A teen girl, with teen problems. She gets bullied. Blah blah. Boys. Blah blah. Her first kiss blah blah. Mystery. But wait! Shes dead! How do I know this? Well she recorded tapes of her giving her story before she killed herself. Its interesting but its about one sucide girl ho had teenage dram happening. The books begining was boring. But by the middle your hooked.

Well, it is not exactly High school drama, but a great romance would be the Tiger's Curse series. It starts out with Kelsey who meets a tiger -skip (no spoilers right?) - then meets a very attractive guy who has a curse and goes on a journey to rescue him! This series is amazing. I'm on book three ☺

Try Jodi Picoult. Most of her novels involve teenagers but there may be a death or two. But you really should move on--there's so many great novels out there just waiting to be discovered by you.

Born Confused by Tanuja Desai Hidier- About a girl learning to find her own identity. She is born of an Indian family, but because she was born and raised in America she's too American to fit in with her Indian family but too Indian to fit in with most of her American schoolmates. I haven't read it in years, but I still think about it. Perfect- About a girl searching for the unattainable body image, she battles an eating disorder and is set in a high school. Anything by Jane Austen. It can be difficult for people to initially get into her style of writing, but once you do, you're hooked for life! My favorite, (and judging by your above guidelines you'll like it too) is Emma. The MC is a shallow girl looking to set people up for marriage and behaves pretty naughtily for her times. But she learns her lesson by the end. Atonement- Very good book.
