so i know medicine cat ceremony's go like "Medicine Cat: Cats of (Clan), as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a cat who has shown (virtues). The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice. well no and yes let me explain kits often display their medicine cat ablities and intrest, only a few cats are selceted by starclan in a way becuse they are cats who have a special connection to star clan, though in some cases like cinderpelt she trained as a normal apprentice but her accident caused her to become a medicine cat. and hollyleaf thought she had a connection to starclan and medicine cats but as she went through it she switched to train as a warrior
