How Have Directv Uniforms For Free?

Are uniforms required to display the manufacturer's logo?

• So I have been following high school and college football uniforms. When I played (2001-2003) our uniforms were made by Sports Bell and the company's logo was on the tag inside our uniforms, you could not see them. Now I find my high school has Nike uniforms with a HUGE Nike check on the front of the uniform. Further all the new college uniforms have a Nike check no less that 3 times on any given uniform combination. My question is, why? First, why must they have the company logo for everyone to see? Who cares who made it? Will seeing a Nike check on a high school football uniform make you go buy a Nike shirt? No. Will seeing the Nike check in Michigan State uniforms make you want to by a Nike hat? No, because you want a Michigan State hat, not a Nike one. So for my second part, can a recipient of these uniforms request NOT to have the logo on display on their uniforms? And if they can't, why not?

  I can't imagine Nike, Under Armor, or any other apparel company would make uniforms for sports teams without their logo on them somewhere for advertising purposes.
