What are the career options in marine engineering or merchant navy for an instrumentation engineer?

  • I am a student in my Final year of instrumentation engineering from the university of mumbai. I wish to have a career at sea as an engineer. What possible options do i have?

you can join the INDIAN NAVY as an engineer where u will have the responsibility of maintaining the most complicated engines of the ship you are posted . or you can apply to any MNC in the fields of cargo transport as an engineer in their ships .you can also contact the DG shipping mumbai

, u have to do GMA e.i graduate marine engineer from a college i.e great eastern shipping co, like for one yr course then ur qualify as a trainy/ 5 engg. for 10 month to one year whose stiphen is 25000to 50000 p.m as per co. , he become chief engineer in 7-8 yr whose pay is above 5 lac p.m
