Find the maximum safe speed of the train?
-
A toy train is running along a straight track which passes through the center of a rotating turntable. The turntable complete one revolution every 3 seconds. Given that a lateral force of 1 N per unit train mass will tip the train off the track, find the maximum safe speed of the train.

Answer:
I am not sure I understand the layout. If you mean one of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railway_turntable THere the track is a diameter. So any centripedal force is along the track; there will be no sideways force to tip the train over. But rotating the turntable while the train is moving makes no sense, so I am not sure what your question is asking.
