How to mod the Sims 2?

Sims 2 mod problem!(read desc)?

This is my first time downloading a mod for sims 2 and i wanted to download a mod at modthesims.info but when i wanted to download the file it comes up this: No valid MTS login could be found. Please note that you must be logged into MTS to use this server. Reasons for this not working are: If you are logged in, then make sure you aren't using any kind of cookie blocker, like Norton Internet Security. Try allowing "modthesims.info" in your security software for cookies. MAKE SURE you have ticked the "Remember Me" option when logging in. If you do not, then you will not be able to download. I dont even have any anti-virus(currently) So can someone help me?
Answer:

Make an account first by registering (its free)..and then start downloading. That's the reason why you can't download..you have to login first.
