Why is Tennessee Williams, playwright called "Cat On A hot Tin Roof"?

What was the reason behind it? Why did he name the play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof? I need to write an essay, but I honestly have no idea why he called it that, I know Magaret was considered Maggie The Cat, but I don't think that's the actual reason, how could I write an essay on just that. Any help? Thanks!
