If I get my GED and a degree can I get a good job?

I'm failing school. Should I just get my GED instead?

• I need 30 credits to graduate from my high school. I also need 40 hours of volunteer work. Sounds easy, but I messed up last year and even this year. I'm currently in grade 10. For me to graduate, I need to: -Take two courses at summer school (Full Day) (during summer 2012) -Take two courses at summer school (Full Day) (during summer 2013) -Re-take 5 Grade 10 courses (during school year 2012-2013) -Take an e-learning/online day course -Take a night school course -Take 3 Grade 11 courses (during school year 2012-2013) and 8 Grade 12 courses (during school year 2013-2014) This is just so much work. I won't even have enough time to get my volunteer hours. Can't I just drop-out, study for the tests and then get my GED instead? From there, I know I can go to college (they accept GEDs) and then maybe university from there (since I will obtain any needed courses from college) or go to a trade school (they also accept GEDs.) I'm smart, but I've just been going through a lot lately. And now I have to work even harder to get just a high school diploma; we're not talking about a university degree that can get me a really good job, just a high school diploma that is not gonna get me anything.

  If re-doing High school courses is too much to take on then Yes, go for the GED it sounds like a good option for you as long as you pass all of the tests! Then you can get through everything and finally get to college! Your heading in the right track for yourself Good Luck
