I'm having a really hard choice deciding where I want to go to high school...?
-
Okay this is serious, no stupid answers. Okay, so I'm in 8th grade now and I'm trying to decide where I want to go to high school. I have to choices, the private school I've been going to since 1st grade or the local public school. I know you're going to say, why would you ever leave a private school… blah blah blah…. truth is I'm not very happy with where I am right now. The academic part is great, but all of the people are snobby and I'm not vary happy with the way I'm treated sometimes. Not only is it a private school, but it's also a very small school, so I literally know everyone (it sounds like it would be nice, but trust me, it's not). I've been with all the same people since I came to the school and now I'm very sick of them. The thing is, the school will set me up better for my future. What I want for college, and so forth. When it comes to the public school, it actually is one of the best in the state. It's small, but still much bigger then the school I go to now. The academics aren't perfect (what school's are?) but I don't know anyone, which I'm actually kind of psyched about. You see, at first my parents told me I was going to have to go there. At first I was really mad about it, but I actually started getting very excited. Then a few days ago they announced that I could choose. I've talked to a lot of people about it, but the majority don't have a definite answer. The public school I'm looking at doesn't have the best arts program, which the school I go to now does, and that's my biggest tearing point. I'm very involved in the arts, mostly theater and music, and I wouldn't have the best programs if I went to the public school. BUT, I could do things out side of school. Anyway, feel free to post any of your opinions :) Thanks for reading the whole thing!!!

Answer:
I'd pick the public one. A private one is going to have a certain type of people. Where as the public will have a good mix and will be more realistic. Yeah it may not be perfect but as long as the teaching is good and so is your academic ability then you shouldn't suffer from it. Plus who knows. you may be able to improve the arts there :)
