Why won't my parents let me drop out of high school?
-
i ask my parent's like 4 or 5 times if i can drop out because high school is so boring...

Answer:
So it's boring. The rest of you life is going to be boring sitting on a street corner begging for money too. But if that is what you want then drop out of HS.

Do it! I dropped out 2 years ago when I was 16, now I'm 18 and I own my own business and make $80,000 a year! And don't even bother going to univeristy/college; their both a HUGE waste of time, money, and energy. You could get your GED (General Equivalency Diploma) if you want. Plus, you have much more free time if you drop out.

You can ask until you're blue in the face, but it's not going to change the way the world is. Do you think that working in Macdonald's isn't boring?? Or you'd rather stay at home, watching TV and making yourself a nuisance at home, and begging $s from your parent? Or you're planning to have a baby, so you won't be bored and have your own $s? In that case, you're so ignorant about reality that you should stay in school, in the hopes you'll learn something. The obvious answer to your question is that they want you in school because, at this point in your life, you'll continue to be a lazy, self-centered useless lump.

Because life is harder with a GED. I have my high school diploma, I am also part of the hiring team at a drug store. If we have two people applying for the same cashiering position ($7/hr) and they are basically the same except for one has a diploma and the other has a GED guess which one gets the position? And this is a low paying job! We figure that if you can't even stick it out for high school then who's to say you are going to last at the job? We figure you're a quitter. This may not be true and it may not be fair, but keep in mind how it looks on paper to a potential employer.

Because it's honestly VERY hard to get anywhere in life without a diploma. I personally dropped out of highschool when I was 16, and it was my biggest regret ever. When I was 19 I decided to go back and get my GED. It was A LOT of studying and a lot of hard work - because 3 years removed from highschool I had nearly forgotten everything, but I did it. I'm now a college student and have a job that rivals a lot of what my highschool friends have been able to accomplish so far, but it was not without a lot of hard work and tears. Had I just stayed in school, my life path would have been much easier. So please, take my advice and even though you're bored, stick with it. It's important.

don't drop out - you'll regret it the rest of your life - I took early admission to college and didn't finish, so I had nothing - don't give up. Do the best you can and find some activities to do to keep things interesting.

you need to go to school, your question is dumb, it's a strong example that you need to stay in school. sure it can be boring, but would you rather be poor and hungry and alone for the rest of your life.? get off the internet and study.

People have given you the sensible reasons. I'll give you the lazy reason - if you drop out you need to find work and school is way easier than a job.
