How can I find the radius of a circle?

How do you find the radius of a circle when given the center and the point on the circle?!?

  • The center is (1,2) and the point on the circle is (4,4). I got 3.6 as the radius, but i'm not sure?! The center is (-1, -7) and the point on the circle is (2,-2). I got the radius as 5.8..again, not sure. The center is (2, -3) and the point on the circle is (-4, 5). I got the radius as 5.3..obviously, again not sure..i reallly really reallly really need help on this! :[

  • Answer:

    The distance between the 2 points is the radius example for 1 point (1,2) and (4.4) d = distance d² = (4-2)² + (4-1)² = 4 + 9 = 13 d = squareroot of 13 = 3.60 = radius = answer
