• I need advice on how to write a research paper. I can write a regular paper beautifully but when it comes to research papers I struggle. Where do I start? here is the topic I choose to write about: What was the scientific revolution all about? and how did this major transition change overall lifestyle. thanks a lot for your help!

  Start with the scientific revolution. Pull 10 facts (and site sources) then expand. example: fact: it was started in year XX XX. expansion: this was a time of many changes around the world including political revolutions in (country). Changes in overall lifestyle are more expert opinion based. Pull 10 quotes or ideas from experts (again site your sources) and expand. EXPERT: Joe Smith said "there's gold in them hills" Expansion: which is not truly something he could have been certain of, however he created passion and acquired a following anyway. (obviously off-topic but you get the picture) Research papers are not written like other pieces. Do not expect to sit down and type it out from start to finish. Rather write each piece and then put them together. Figure out what you want to cover, then write paragraphs and tie them together, finally organize the order of your paper, and finish by writing your introduction (with thesis) and conclusion.
